Robert E. Sandwell

He served in the Army and worked for the Commonwealth of MA, DPW in Weston and Sudbury.

Born in Framingham on Nov 20, 1935, the son of the late Lesley and Caroline (Moog) Sandwell, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Walburga “Wally” (Jameson) currently of Lowell, his children, Robert E., Jr. and his wife Nancy of Framingham, John and his wife, April of Maryland, Lisa and her husband, James Wood of Framingham, Beth Dunton of Newton, Charles and his wife Danielle, of Billerica, and Peggy Frasca Sandwell of Bellingham, grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Sandwell, Shannon and her husband, Chris Ta, Jessica and Kirsten Wood, Amanda and Lance Corporal, Alyssa Dunton, USMC, Alessandra Febbo, Austin and Dana Grant, Katerina and McKenzie Frasca, Hunter and Aiden DeMauro, sisters-in-law, Alice Sandwell and Helene Freeman, 6 nieces and many great nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Richard and Ernest Sandwell and grandfather of the late Tanya Wood.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, October 28 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Henry C. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St., Wellesley MA. His funeral will begin from the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 28 at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Road, Wellesley. A private burial will be at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland, MA.
