Lifelong Revere resident will be forever missed
Patricia ‘Patti’ Marcella, 78, a lifelong resident of Revere, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Patti was born on March 17, 1942 in Boston, the oldest daughter of the late Emery and Mary (Driscoll) DiBiase. She was raised in Revere and graduated from Fitton High School in East Boston. She was the beloved mother of James Marcella and his wife, Rachel of Nashua, NH. and Brian Marcella of Daytona Beach, FL. And dear sister of Barbara (DiBiase) Delaney and husband Frank Delaney; loving grandmother to four, Gianna Marcella, Joey Marcella, Zach Marcella, Tyler Marcella and devoted aunt to nieces Debbie and Kim and nephew Michael who all meant the world to her.
Patti made a wonderful home for her family; she had an open door policy and treated her children’s friends as her own family. She loved being a Mom to them all and dearly loved all her cats over the years. Patti was truly “one of a kind”– thoughtful, friendly and loving. Her passing left a huge void in the hearts of those who loved her. She will forever be loved and missed by all.
Her family is most grateful that she was spared mercifully, not to have passed from this vicious virus and was taken from us peacefully and unexpectedly in the realm of natural causes.
Due to concerns of the current situation with the Coronavirus; the family has decided to have a private service at this time and will have a public Celebration of Life at a later date.
