Richard James Christian II

Richard was proud to be a fourth generation native of Fountain. He retired from the City of Colorado Springs Electric Department as an electric lineman. Richard married his wife Judith in June of 1965 and to this 46 year union were born four sons:

Richard Christian III; Carl and Wendy Christian; Shane and Chris Christian; and Robert and Tracy Christian.

Three Daughters: Laura and Bill Carter; Tracy Christian and Chana and Troy Trimble. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Boyd, and Brother George and Dru Christian. He has two sisters-in-laws, Carol and Charlie Trujillo and Betty and Jack Bell. He had 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who were his pride and joy, He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Richard devoted most of his life to serving the Fountain Valley Community. He was currently serving as Board President for the Fountain Sanitation District, past president and Honorary Life Board Member of the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce. He served as a board member on the Fountain Housing Authority. He was also a coach for the Fountain Valley Little League.

Richard had a large extended family and numerous close friends who brought him great joy. His love of family and commitment to community was something that made his so unique.

Services for Richard are:

Visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday November 2, 2011 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary 6630 S. Hwy 85/87 Fountain, CO

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Pike Peak Christian Church
