Karl "Mike" Mai

Karl was born in Germany on February 5,1961 to Alma Mai. Alma married Richard Martin who adopted and raised Karl. The family moved to Fountain, Colorado in 1973.

Karl worked for the city of Colorado Springs for 24 years and retired in 2014. He loved his slingshot and his Denver Broncos. He was always so proud of the broncos whether they won or lost, that’s how he got the nickname “Bronco Mike”

Karl is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife of 22 years Annie Elizabeth Mai. Brother Freddy Martin, and his sister Manja Bouck.

He is survived by his only son Aaron Ray Mai, of Fountain, Colorado. Brother Lothar Weber, sister Manuela Heinz of Germany. Brother in laws, David Gilliam and wife Annette, of Willis Texas, George Gilliam, and wife Adeline, of Fountain, Colorado. Nephews James Roush and wife Joana of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Glen Gilliam and wife Kristen of Spring, Texas. Niece Kristina Bouck Olson and husband Aaron of Boise Idaho and several other family members. He is also survived by many friends and neighbors which he considered family. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
