Jesse Jess Lee Stroud

Born: 24 April 1930, Paul, Idaho, to John Robert Stroud, and Nellie Martha Hume.

Joined the Air Force Oct 1950 and was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base, Colorado. He met and married Betty Ann Barrow in Denver, Colorado 14 Oct 1951.

Jesse served in the US Air Force for 20 years and 29 days. Retired and went to work in Federal Service, at Fort Carson and later to the Air Force Academy as a cook for the Cadet Dining Hall. He retired from Federal Service after 20 years.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Betty Stroud, his brothers, Don Stroud, Paul Stroud, Jack Stroud, Frank Stroud and sister, Alice Harmon (Stroud). He is survived by his daughter, Karen Cooley of Colorado Springs, grandsons Steven Lee Cooley of Arizona, Daniel Elwin Cooley of Colorado. Five Great Grandchildren, Lucas Charles Cooley, Aurora Kay Cooley, Emilee Kay Cooley, David Austin Cooley, and Danielle Autumn Rose Cooley. One Great Great Granddaughter, Abigail Ray Carouth-Cooley.

Jesse passed away at his home on the 26 Oct 2011, at 7:00 p.m.

He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Fountain, Colorado, 31 Oct 2011. Services are at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. located at 6630 South US Highway 85/87, Fountain Colorado 80817. (719)390-4906.
