Deborah was raised in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Paschal High School. She married her high school sweetheart “Gary” and they had 3 wonderful children; Marsha, Melissa, and Lee.
While she was raising her children as a homemaker, Deborah also babysat in the home . She loved to cook, create crafts, watch old movies, and fish with her children. But most of all, her Christian faith was very important to her and making sure that her children were raised with love, understanding, and determination to succeed in anything they did. Deborah also loved with her whole heart.
In 1993, Deborah moved to Colorado with her children, Melissa and Lee, to be close to the Mountains that she loved. Deborah went back to school and received her Associate Degree in Applied Science and Social Services Technician from Pikes Peak Community College. She then pursued her career working with special needs adults. Deborah retired as a Unit Supervisor with REM Inc.
In 1995, she met William “Bill” Deguchi and they married in June of 1997. They were married for 9 years until his passing in June of 2006. They loved to travel, garden, and take fishing trips.
When Deborah became a grandmother, her grandchildren loved watching movies with her, doing arts & crafts, and playing with animals.
Deborah will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a very loving, caring, and determined woman.
She is survived by her mother; Margie Price, sister; Helen and Danny Moore, son; Arthur Lee Blackwood 2nd, daughters; Marsha Blackwood (son-in-law Keith George) and Melissa Blackwood, grandchildren; Colton Ryan George, Alexandria Constance Edwards and Ryleigh Elizabeth Foster, dog; Bailey and cat; Ellie Mae.
Deborah is preceded in death by: father; Elwood Price, husband; William “Bill” Deguchi and dog; Takota. Celebration of her life will be announced at a later time.
