Virginia A. Rankin

Graveside funeral services celebrating Virginia Alene's life will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.

Virginia Alene was born in Vernon, Texas, to Alvin J. and Ruby R. Tiroff on July 4, 1935. Virginia was born the middle of seven children. She lived most of her young life in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from Polytechnic High School. She met and married William "Bill" Rankin. They remained together celebrating sixty years of marriage. Virginia worked in the corporate world for fifteen years and retired with her husband to Lakeside Village, Lake Whitney, Texas. They moved back to Haslet, Texas in 2005.

Virginia was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her family and spent many wonderful times together with them. She also enjoyed flowers, especially roses, shopping, traveling and occasionally gambling. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 sons-in-law, and 2 infant babies.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy; grandsons, Jeremy and Bryan; great-grandson,Scott; numerous other grandchildren and a great-grandchild; sister, Margaret; several nephews and nieces and other extended family.
