Suzie was born in Denton, Texas to Susan Boaz McClendon and R. D. (Jack) McClendon. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1950. She spent most days helping and uplifting family and friends, especially those she had shared a lifetime with. She was so well-loved by those family and friends, who often described her as “smart as a whip,” determined, funny, feisty, and a “firecracker” (befitting of her July 4th birthday). Suzie was passionate about Texas history, as her family’s roots run deep in the state. She loved her rescue dog, Sophie, just as much as she loved her human companions. She now joins her husband, Morris S. Williams and daughter, Jenny Williams in Heaven.
Survivors-Son, Jay L. Williams (Stephanie) of Azle, daughter, Karrie, of Fort Worth, 5 grandchildren, John Gross (Lucy), Natalie Cortez (Tyler Steelman), Leah, Kara and Reid Williams, and one great granddaughter, Laila Steelman.
