Bob proudly attended Auburn University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in French and International Trade and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems.
Bob enjoyed a career of more than 29 years in education technology. He felt passionate that all students have access to technology in order to receive the best education. During Bob’s career he led Blue Valley School District to become one of the nation’s leading school districts in IT. Bob was a valued colleague, mentor, and friend that influenced many as he shared his expertise and helped so many reach new heights which catapulted him to become an industry leader. He made a tremendous impact on the lives of students, teachers, administrators, and those in the education technology industry.
Bob was the proud father of two daughters, Whitney Creason and Sarah Huffman, with his former wife Susan Moore. He was devoted to making sure they felt they could accomplish anything in life and instilled in them the confidence to do so. He cherished every moment he spent with his daughters and drew some of his greatest joy from watching his daughters grow up and be happy.
Bob married Michelle Shirley Moore in 2006. They shared a fairly tale romance, a love for travel, and their two dogs, Toffee and Truffles. Bob and Michelle were the perfect compliments to one another. Bob was an incredible man, brilliant, generous and kind. He will be missed by many and we are saddened to think of what he still had to offer the world.
Join Michelle, Sarah, and Whitney in celebrating and remembering Bob’s life. A memorial reception will be held on Sunday, December 9th from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm at The Lodge at Ironwoods, 14701 Mission Road, Leawood, KS 66224.
