Michael M. Gunter

Mike was born and raised in Fort Worth, the son of Myrle Gunter, a salesman and entertainer and Peggy Plummer Gunter, a professional artist. Throughout his 40-year career in apparel sales, working out of the Dallas Apparel Mart, the relationships Mike built were his greatest reward. He was loved and admired by countless fellow sales reps as well as his customers and women’s apparel buyers from across the southwest. Many customers have said there is no one they trusted more with helping them build their business than Mike Gunter.

In his personal life, he was a husband, dad and friend like no other. Mike always had a word of support and inspiration and would leave you laughing every single time. He loved golf and fishing and gave us many happy memories on the links and on the lakes.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife and best friend of 35 years, Julie Gunter; stepson Jeremy Neeley (Nora); sons Riley (Morgan) and Cole (Kate) and grandchildren, Mia and Maddox.

Friends and family will be celebrating the life of Mike Gunter for years to come.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice or to The First Tee of Fort Worth.
