Mark Everett Sturdevant

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 20th at 2:00pm at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery with his sister-in-law, Dr. Liz McCluskly-Liebold of Falls Church, VA, officiating.

Mark was born in Richardson, TX to Eva Burton and Donald Sturdevant on June 29th. He graduated school at Texas A&M University where he studied business and computer science. He married Allison Liebold on June 24th,1989 in Houston, TX. He worked as a tech and programming expert for several different firms over his 25-year career, the most recent being Veritex Bank. Mark was very involved in the North Texas BBQ community; always ready to share advice, recipes, and opinions on the best way to use any grill or smoker. He was passionate about food, laughing, and making the world around him smile. Mark had a wonderful, outgoing spirit that continues to inspire and elevate those who cared for him.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Donald.

Mark is survived by his brothers, Jim & his wife Becky, John, Ben, and his sister, Jan, and by his wife, Alison. His oldest daughter, Heather, married to Evan, & his youngest daughter, Sarah, married to Justin, both got to share the joy and happiness of those very special days with him before he passed, which was very important to him.

Memorials may be given to Mark’s son-in-law, Evan. The family of Mark Sturdevant wishes to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in his care during his final year.
