Katie was my friend. We had some good times working and going for long drives together. Katie may you rest in peace my friend. 

We will miss our dear bowling buddy, Katie.  We shared many fun times in Reno, Vegas and Baton Rouge.  She was a fierce  competitor and a  wonderful friend.  The alleys  won’t be the same without her!  Rest in peace, dearest Katie-all our love-Yolanda , Linda, Molly, Gerry, Betty, Donna  and all the ladies  at the lanes.

I am so sorry for your loss of Mrs. Katie B. I work at the Assisted Living and Memory Care where Mrs. Katie lived at. She was our very first resident when we opened here at Discovery Alliance.  I was the 2nd employee hired before we opened and she would drive up herself in her black beautiful Mercedes to ask when we would be open because she was excited to move into such a beautiful place. She kept coming to check on our progress until we opened. She always would do push up contest with our care givers and she always won. Everyone could not believe how strong she was for her age. She loved to beat all the young care givers. It was so funny. She loved having her purse with her at all times also with everything you can imagine in that purse. She was loved here by so many and we are so sorry for the loss but we know she is with her husband she loved so much and talked about often. My Condolences to the family and  both of her sons Eric and Ashby who took very good care of her and checked in on anything she ever needed. She was very proud of you both.

A fond memory I have of my Aunt Kay is when I was a little girl, sometimes I had to go over to her house on Garrett Drive in Virginia  with my dad  (Reggie Jones)  to visit his brother and my Uncle (Ashby "Ray" Jones) .  My dad would just go to shoot the breeze , tell tall tales and or just to  laugh at whatever jokes I never got nor found funny.   At the time I always wanted to go into my older cousin Eric Jones' room. My cousin Ray Jr. was already gone into the military so it was just Eric at the house.   He of course threw me out several times because he didn't want his little girl cousin all up in his room  but my Aunt Kay would tell him to be nice and to let me in his room every visit and I got to play with whatever I wanted to always.   The looks he gave me would scare most but I knew she would protect me.   She was always warm and caring  to me  and always made me feel at home also very comfortable and she was a very good cook so I ate good and was well fed . Rest Easy      R.I.P. Her absence will undoubtedly leave a void. Throughout my life, she consistently treated me with the affection and care of a grandmother. I will always cherish the privilege of knowing such a remarkable and resilient woman. May she find eternal peace in paradise.

Aunt Kay always had my back. Sje made me feel like I was worth something I will miss her so much.

I’m so sorry for the loss of a Great lady who loved her family and friends so much. The few times we got together with my best friend Ashby for dinner or we stopped by just to see how she was doing. She always treated me like family. I wish I could’ve seen her more than what I did. All my love to the Jones family and friends. God bless Katie Jones. I love you guys. Rick Webster
