Judy Kay Jones

Ms. Judy Kay Jones, who was born on November 14, 1952, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Wednesday morning, May 2, 2018. She passed peacefully after a brief battle with lung cancer, and blessed everyone with her angelic spirit along her way in her tiresome fight.

She is survived by her mother, Vivien Hollingsworth of Waco,TX; an aunt Yvonne Daniels of Burleson, TX; an uncle Johnny Grimmett, Jr. of Quinlan, TX; a nephew Nathan Kidd and his wife Jennifer Kidd of China Springs and a dear friend of twenty plus years, Ms. Marion Gamble. Ms. Judy Jones also had two nieces, Rachel Ketchum and Emily Kidd.

Judy is also survived by several cousins: Dale Daniels, David Grimmett, Elizabeth Grimmett, Dana Ochs, Byron Daniels, Matthew Landers, Dale Landers, Chisum Landers, Chase Grimmett, Seth Grimmett, Makayla Grimmett, and Levi Daniels.

Judy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Johnnie Grimmett, Sr. and Clara C. Grimmett; her sister, Pamela A. Kidd; and her nephew, Mark Kidd.

Judy worked for Tandy Corporation for thirty-one years and held down the position of supervisor in accounts, and she attended Texas Wesleyan University. Her hobbies were to make life as interesting as possible, and she succeeded. She loved every individual listed on this page and more, and they loved her. Ms. Jones never had children of her own, unless you count her fur babies, and she did. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, if you would like to donate to the SPCA of your choice, I am sure she would be smiling down on you.

Services for Ms. Judy Jones will be at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing for family and friends Friday, May 4, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. in the stateroom at Shannon Rose Hill Chapel.
