Funeral: Noon Monday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Lung Association or to the MS Society.
Joe was born in Fort Worth on March 17, 1931. He was a retired business owner, former city councilman, former mayor for the city of Everman and an active Lions Club member. He enjoyed taking cruises around the world with his wife, Barbara.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; brother, Robert T. Sample; and grandson, Ariel Joseph Barrow.
Survivors: Children, Vikki Hutchison and husband, Robert, Karen Livingston and husband, Russell Sanderson, Lana Calvin and husband, Danny, Vicki Barrow and husband, Tommy, Kristi Harmon and husband, Kenneth, and Shannon Zachary and husband, David; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
