Jose was born in October 2, 1927 to Bravlo & Avostina Rodriguez in Taylor, Texas. When he was able, Jose joined the U.S. Army and served a tour in Korea. Jose spent his life devoted to his family and to his Lord. He joined Teaching Word Faith Center Church in 1984, becoming active in the church and serving as a deacon. His family remembers him as a caring, gentle man who kept his family first in his life. Jose always placed his faith in God and by doing so was blessed tremendously in his life with always being able to meet his family’s needs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and a daughter, Sandra Mireles.
Jose is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Lou Sanchez, sons, Steve Sanchez and wife Pat, Moses Cortez and wife Mary, Robert Cortez and wife Carolyn and Daniel Sanchez, daughters, Juanita Gutierrez and husband Armando & Rachel Sanchez, 25 grandchildren, 59 great grand children and one great great grandchild.
