John David Stanley, EE, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away January 21, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born January 31, 1938, in Falling Waters, WV to the late David Henry and Ida Belle Le Master Stanley.
John was a graduate from DeVry Institute Chicago. He moved to Texas after being hired by General Dynamics and met the love of his life, Clara. He then received his EE degree from Texas Christian University with night classes while working full time at General Dynamics and supporting his wife and three children. He retired from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics as an Aviation Electronics Engineer after working on the B58 aircraft, in the Nuclear Lab and other highly classified projects for the US Defense Department.
He is survived by his wife: Clara; children: Terry Stanley and Justine, Pam Stanley, Diane Martin and husband Tim, 5 grandchildren, Joseph, Charles, Haley, Adam, and Clayton along with cousins and family still in WV. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
