Mrs. Janice Stout

Janice was born on October 28, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas to Earl and Jean Moore. She was the second of their three daughters having one older sister, Wilma, and one younger sister, Paula. She would be raised in the Poly area of Fort Worth.

Janice graduated from Poly High School and then went to nursing school. After finishing nursing school, she had a lengthy career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse who spent her lifetime in the health care industry mainly working in assisted living facilities.

Janice married George Stout on June 14, 1972. They would celebrate twenty years of marriage before his passing on October 15, 1992. They would have one son, John Adam. Janice would become an "Elisi", which is Cherokee for grandmother, to Landon Ryan Stout.

Janice enjoyed reading, watching science fiction shows on television, visiting historical places, especially Civil War landmarks, watching Adam play soccer, shopping, especially for shoes, and fishing. Her favorite times were times spent with family.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, George Stout, parents, Earl and Jean Moore, sister, Wilma Elliott, and sister, Paula Moore.

Those who remain to cherish her memory and continue her legacy are her son, Adam Stout and his wife Marci, grandson, Landon Ryan Stout, niece, Stacey Easterday and husband Mike, great nephew Carson Easterday, great niece, Riley Easterday, nephew, Chris Elliott, great niece, Cheyenne Elliott, great nephews, Chris and Dylan, brother-in-law, Larry Elliott, cousins, Jody and Bobby Carmichael, and other extended family members and dear friends.

A visitation for Janice will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas. The Celebration of her life will be Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10:00 am, Laurel Land Funeral Home, with interment at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
