James W. Rackley, passed away August 26, 2017, surrounded by family. Time stood still.
Funeral Service: 3 PM Friday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
James lived full and well. He was born in Goodland, KS and loved to share how he went to junior high in Hawaii and graduated high school in Germany. He studied business at the University of Texas at Austin and accounting at the University of Illinois. He enjoyed the ocean and watching old westerns. He adored his grandchildren and they adored him right back. His favorite pastime of late was spoiling his new wife and making her smile.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Violet (Lamb) Rackley.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Rackley; children, Jeff Southards, Rebecca Quintanilla, Violet Bell, Amy Barnett, James Rackley and Bryce Rackley; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
