James Thomas Lawrence, of Burleson, TX, passed away August 5, 2017. He was born to Walter and Susie Lawrence on 1927, in Tell, TX. Service: 11 am Wednesday Aug 9, 2017 at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Visitation: 6 to 7:30 pm Tuesday Aug 8 at Laurel Land. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. James attended North Texas Teachers College and became an illustrator for ConVair, General Dynamics, and Lockheed Martin. James was a member of the Travis Avenue Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; Walter and Susie Lawrence; brothers Walter and Boyd Lawrence; son Michael Threadgill and grandsons Drew and Derrick Lawrence. Survivors include: wife, Freda Nodene Lawrence; son, Kevin Lawrence and wife Alice; sister, Gwen White; daughter-in-law Karen LaBarge; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
