Gerald (Jerry) Miller was born on August 21, 1940 in Bronx, NY. He lived much of his life in the Newburgh, NY area. He met his lovely wife, Frances, on July 6, 1963, soon after she won the Miss Town of Newburgh pageant. They were married on August 9, 1964. Their first two children, Denise and Susan, were born while they lived in Newburgh.
Jerry honorably served his country as a part of the United States Army from March 1960 - March 1963. Most of his service time in the Army was spent in Stuttgart, Germany.
In 1974, Jerry and Frances Miller moved their family to Arizona. He faithfully served and retired from the United States Postal Service, January 1, 2003, after many years of bringing joy to everyone he encountered. He and his entire family came into relationship with the Lord while living in Arizona.
Their other two children, Colleen and Josh, were born while they lived in Arizona.
Gerald was a faithful member of Gateway Church in Texas and Southgate Church in Phoenix, Arizona. His faith and testimony were an inspiration to all.
Jerry was known for the joy he expressed. He would always sing the oldies, dance, and tell jokes. He lived his life with joy and laughter. His generosity was shown in the large and small things he did throughout his life. He was a provider, an artist, a handy man, a comedian, spiritual leader, and a friend to everyone he met.
Survivors: He is survived by his devoted wife, Frances Miller; his children Denise and Kevin Jonas, Susan Darrow, Colleen Beasley, and Joshua and Angela Miller; his grandchildren Kevin and Danielle Jonas (and soon-to-be-born great granddaughter), Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Frankie Jonas, and Savannah Beasley; his siblings Kathleen Hanretta, and Margaret Mueller, as well as his devoted canine companion Charlie.
