George graduated from Pascal High School and received a degree in theology from Bible Baptist Seminary. He was married to Edith Martin on February 16, 1951.
George pastored Temple Baptist Church for 35 years and built Temple Christian School and Temple Days Daycare. He was a member of World Baptist Fellowship and a Salvation Army Auxiliary, and had a passion for Jesus, people, and missions.
George is survived by his wife, Edith; children, George Crittenden and partner, Curtis Gilbert, Ben Crittenden and partner, Marc Robles, and Dana Fox and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Courtney Laugio and husband, August, Stephanie Fox; great grandchildren, Verona Laugio , Evenelle Laugio , and Ransom Laugio ; and a host of relatives and friends.
A visitation for George will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel and Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Temple Baptist Church, 6824 Randol Mill Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76120. A committal service will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112.
