Franklin William Myers

Frank was born October 24th, 1962, in San Diego, California. A Navy brat, Frank lived in most of the east coast submarine bases before he was 7 years old.

Frank’s parents, William G. Myers and Sharon Johnson Myers moved to Minnesota after separating from the Navy. After a few years in Minneapolis, they settled in rural Farmington MN. In High School, Frank was an outstanding student and was a 4-year member of the Cross-Country Track team. He served his country in the United States Army Signal Corp and in the Army Reserves and attended the University of Minnesota. His daughter Jackie was born in 1985. In the early 1990’s Frank moved to Seattle to work for Boeing Aircraft. In the late 90’s Frank again relocated and found his forever home in Fort Worth Texas.

He was a Master machinist with a 30-year career, most recently with Gardner Denver where he greatly enjoyed his work. On November 1, 2001, he married JoAnne Rowell Jackson and together they enjoyed family and travel. Frank played 5-string bass in a band in Minnesota and continued to play throughout his life. He was an avid model builder, specifically Military aircraft. He also rebuilt several cars with his father and friends over the years. His greatest love was driving his dream car; a 2019 Grand Sport Corvette.

Frank was a member of the Lone Star Corvette Club and the American Legion.

Today Frank is in heaven with his daughter Jackie Myers Duke, who pre-deceased him.

He leaves JoAnne, his wife of almost 20 years. He is also survived by grandsons Jaeven and Lane Duke. His stepchildren Erin and Jameson Cockerell; Tommy and Andi Jackson and his grandchildren Luke, Emerson, and Elliotte Jackson; and J.T., Jack and Christopher Cockerell.

Frank will be laid to rest at 2pm October 6th, 2021, at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth Texas.

Frank will be sorely missed.
