Frances Johnson McGough

Visitation: Tuesday January 17 at 2:00 p.m. followed by Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. at Shannon Funeral Home located at 6001 Rufe Snow Dr. Fort Worth. Texas.

Frances was born October 20,1939 in Stephenville, Texas to Howard and Irene Johnson. The family moved to Fort Worth where she graduated from RL Paschal High School in 1957. As a young wife and mother, she owned and operated a clothing boutique and beauty salon in Alvarado, Texas. Later she was an office manager for Johnson County Rural Water Supply; City Secretary of Alvarado, Texas; retired as City Secretary of Blue Mound, Texas in 2007.

She enjoyed the thrill of competing in “Powder Puff” Drag Car racing. She also enjoyed any interest involving her two sons including Rodeo, Livestock Shows, and athletics. She enjoyed donating her time and being involved with the 4-H programs in Johnson County. She also loved to travel and spend time with her husband Rudie and her family. Frances maintained a Servant Mentality always thinking of others first.

She is survived by husband Rudie McGough; Son Ricky Parnell (Kim); Son Tim Parnell (Amy); Mica Kidwell (Curtis); Jessica McGough; Keri Ann Beam (Terry); Michael McGough (Nicole); Grandchildren Lacy Parnell; Shoney Johnson ( Preston) and 5 great grandchildren.

In Lieu of Flowers the family request donations in Frances’s name to the American Cancer Society or St Jude’s Children Hospital.
