Emma Jeane was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Bates County, Mo., to Clyde Estol and Nellie Florence Welliver. She married the Rev. Stanley M. Brown on June 4, 1938, and they moved to Fort Worth to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and to enter into full-time ministry. Emma Jeane was a member of Handley Baptist Church for 56 years, where she taught a Sunday school class until three months before her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sister.
Survivors: Sons, James Brown of Fort Worth and David Brown of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, G'Nelle Walters of Granbury; sister-in-law, Katherine Welliver of Springfield, Mo.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
