Elvis Eugene Hollie was born on August 10, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Wallace Hollie Sr. and Selena Townsend Hollie.
Growing up, Elvis-affectionately known as Skip- attended Morningside Elementary and Middle and later graduated from Polytechnical High School in 1977.
His spiritual journey began early, as he embraced Christianity and became an integral part of Second Christian Church, later renamed New Vision Christian Church. His dedication to his faith eventually led him to serve as an Associate Minister under Pastor Frederick Henry. In 2018, Rev. Elvis Hollie assumed the role of Pastor at Wyatt Street Christian Church, where he was formally installed. Prior to this appointment, he held membership within the Texas Christian Missionary Fellowship, thereby contributing to his extensive experience and dedication within the Christian community.
Elvis made professional contributions across diverse sectors, including roles at Proctor and Gamble, Williams Funeral Home, and Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors. In 2018, he transitioned to a position on the staff at Paul Lawrence Dunbar.
Outside of work, Elvis found joy in sports, particularly basketball and football, showing unwavering support for his beloved Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. His passion for sports mirrored his vibrant spirit and love for life.
Elvis was preceded in death by his mother, Selena Hollie, his grandmother Ruth Cowan; grandfathers, Luther Cowan and LT Townsend.
He leaves to cherish precious memories and a legacy of love, his father Wallace Hollie Sr., his children, Dione Bennett-Wade, Kenisha Cleaves, Deidrich Tarkington (Angela), Brandon Hollie, and Braylon Hollie; Grandchildren, Brianna Jackson, Kirtis Wade, Kaleb Wade, Shamari Cleaves, Alaeya Cleaves and Jaden Tarkington; Sisters, Carlis Carter (Broderick), Cherie Pearl (Willie), and brother, Wallace Hollie Jr. (Sonia); nephews Marvin
