Elbert Clendon "Clem" Harmon, 92, of Bedford passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. He was born in Healdton, Okla., on April 1, 1922. Elbert "Clem" Harmon graduated from Trimble Technical High School in Fort Worth and received electrical and radio engineering degrees from Tri State College in Angola, Ind. He married Nina Glass on March 23, 1942; she preceded him in death. Clem had a career in electrical engineering with General Dynamics in Fort Worth for 38 years. He was a member of Polytechnic United Methodist Church, was an honorary member of the Japanese Origami Society, served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific in World War II and had a passion for photography and ballroom dancing.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Harmon; and sisters, Lois Holt and Dorothy Gable.
He is survived by his children, Lewis Harmon and wife, Dolores, and David Harmon and wife, Llana; grandchildren, Robert Harmon and wife, Emily, D. Austin Harmon and wife, Karen; great-grandchildren, Zachary Norman-Harmon, Bryanna Harmon, Parker Harmon, Megan Harmon, Alex Harmon, Keilein Harmon and J.P. Harmon; and longtime friend, Willene Auslam.
