Dorothy Elaine Moss, age 66, of Fort Worth, Texas. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved sister, Dorothy Elaine Moss will be remembered with absolute love long after her passing from life to eternity.
On Friday, October 15, 2021, Dorothy passed away peacefully at the age of sixty-six, after a courageous battle from kidney disease. She was in the presence of her loving family, who will always remember her loving kindness and will celebrate the fulfilled purpose driven life she lived.
Born in Mexia, Texas to Rev. Joe Bailey and Addie Mae Keaton. Dorothy was the second of eight children in the Keaton family. Raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Dorothy attended Como Elementary and Como Middle schools, where she excelled in academics. She began her high school years at Como High School, where she was a member of Mighty Como Lions Booster Squad. She finished her high school years at Western Hills High School, where she graduated in 1973. She attended Tarrant County Junior College and later in her life she was a student of Christian Ministry Studies at Dallas Baptist University.
Robert Ray Moss married Dorothy Elaine Keaton on September 19, 1975.
Dorothy began her lifelong career in 1974 as a Legal Assistant with the Social Security Administration, where she retired as a faithful and dedicated employee in 2014. After retiring, she found joy in making holiday decorations, floral arrangements, and spending time with family.
Dorothy was predeceased by her father Joe B. Keaton, her mother Addie M. Keaton, and her beloved sister, Cynthia Ann Pardue. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert R Moss; her daughters Robin Nicole Moss, Georgina Dunn and her husband Chris Dunn; her 5 grandchildren, Dakota Ethan Sheppard, Dylan Elan Sheppard, Piper Drew Hankins, Parker Cade Hankins, and Peyton Dunn; her sisters Addie Owens, Barbara Keaton, Evelyn Cromwell, Rhonda Keaton; her brother Gregory Keaton, her brother Kenneth Keaton and his wife Jackie Keaton, and aunts, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and close friends. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
