Delois Floyd was born July 12, 1925, in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Tom and Ruth Lee Crenshaw. She passed away on January 25, 2020, at the age of 94. Delois was a homemaker, known for her quilting, sewing and seamstress work. She was proud of the time she spent serving her country as a bomb factory worker and later as a seamstress making military uniforms at Dickie’s factory in Fort Worth during WW II. She enjoyed working puzzles, listening to country and gospel music, and cooking for her friends and family. She was a member of Christian Family Life Baptist Church in Crowley, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Floyd, and her son, Ronald Dale Floyd. She was survived by her brother, Jimmy Crenshaw, her daughter, Laura Darlene Caswell, a daughter-in-law, Linda Floyd, a granddaughter, Heather Haynes, and husband, Marcus Haynes, two grandsons, Daniel Caswell, and wife, Heather Caswell, and Jereme Floyd. She was also survived by four great-grandchildren, Leah Haynes, Jolie Caswell, Cody Caswell, and Brittany Floyd. Delois Floyd will be laid to rest on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetary, with a short graveside service to follow. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, between the hours of 6 PM and 8 PM, at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home.
