Ms. Darlene Chapple

On Monday, September 23, 2024, Darlene Chapple answered the call of her Heavenly Father, embracing peace in His presence. Darlene was born on July 31, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Joe Lee Goodrich and LaGrady Goodrich. She was the fourth of six children in their loving union. Darlene spent her childhood in Fort Worth, where she attended Booker T. Washington Elementary School, William James Middle School, and graduated from Dunbar High School. A hardworking and dedicated provider, Darlene worked as a caterer for many years at Colonial Country Club and the Worthington Hotel. Darlene was united in marriage to Larry Chapple, Sr., who preceded her in death. Together, they raised four beloved children. Later in life, she found love and companionship again, marrying Edward “Pookie” Crockett. Her faith journey led her to Cornerstone Baptist Church, where she accepted Christ and was baptized on August 22, 2019, marking a meaningful chapter in her life. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joe Lee Goodrich, Jr. Her memory lives on through her husband, Edward “Pookie” Crockett, and her children: Patrick (Kay) Goodrich, Shontay (Ronald) Johnson, Reginald McDonald, and Larry (Rekeisha) Chapple. She is also remembered by her siblings, Janet Goodrich, Carlestine Jenkins, Randy Goodrich, and Robert Goodrich, all of Fort Worth, Texas. Her legacy continues through her seven cherished grandchildren, one niece, three nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. Darlene will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, strong faith, and the love she shared with those around her.
