Connie McDonald

Connie was born in Tampa, FL to James C. and Betty M. Dunn on November 2nd, 1943. She went to school at Hillsborough High School in Tampa, FL (class of ‘61), and Carson Newman College, where she earned a degree in Music Education. She met Alvin L. McDonald in Fort Worth while attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. They married on February 1st, 1969 in Bangs, TX.

Over the next 53 years, she worked as a Church Organist, School Teacher, Choir Director, Piano Teacher, Avon Lady, Secretary for the family business running a Texaco Service Station and later working for the County Tax Collector in Pasco County, FL before finally retiring to live quietly with Alvin in Wesley Chapel, FL. After a recent illness, she decided they would move to Texas to be closer to more family.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents.

Connie is survived by her husband, Alvin L. McDonald, her step-children Devonna Mitchell, Beverly Osborn (Mark), Patty Luckie, and children Steven McDonald (Vilma), Michael McDonald (Jaimie) and Melinda Adderson-McDonald (Sarah), 15 grand-children, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
