Fort Worth, Texas – Clarcee Jean Mahan passed away peacefully on December 16 at the age of 89.
Clarcee was born in McGregor, Texas to Wes and Blanche Spradley. The family moved to Fort Worth in 1950 where she graduated from R.L. Paschal High in 1953 and married Jim Mahan, her loving husband of 37 years, also originally of McGregor, after his service in the US Air Force. Clarcee was a devoted homemaker and a 60-year member of South Hills Baptist Church (now Redemption City Church). After raising her own two children, she operated a day-care business for over 15 years, then later cared for her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother, Wes Spradley II of Austin, TX; son and daughter, Scott Mahan and wife of Fort Worth and Sandra Brandon of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Jeff, Melinda, Amy, and Jason; and great-grandchildren Maddie, Mollie, and Nicholas.
Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 14, 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home & Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, January 13, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
