Christy Lynn Sanders

Christy was born July 31, 1957, to Jean and Reginald Thetford. She was a graduate of Godley High School.

Christy gave birth to her daughter Shelby Lynn Sanders September 21, 1986. There is no dispute that she considered her daughter her greatest achievement. Together, they conquered the world.

Christy never knew a stranger. Her presence, smile and infectious laughter always lit up the room. She loved purely and genuinely, no matter who a person was or where they were at in life. Her heart was full of compassion, loyalty and an abundant amount of love for her family. Christy was blessed and grateful to be able to witness the birth of her granddaughter, RayLynn. Becoming a grandma allowed Christy to know love she didn't know was possible. Christy will be missed dearly but her family is so thankful that they were given an angel on Earth and are comforted in knowing the Lord too was missing his Christy and ready for her to come home.

Christy was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Shelby and Curtis Mickey; granddaughter, RayLynn Reece Mickey; sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Robert Klint; nieces, Kendall Scheick, Kasey Klint, McKinsey Klint; and aunt Inez Walker.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 12:30 PM at Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth. A committal service will follow.
