Mrs. Cheryl (McLean) Jones

On July 20, 1965 Howard and Ora Lee was blessed with the birth of a bouncing baby girl whom they named Cheryl Diana. They were proud parents, loving and caring for their baby girl.

Upon growing up at an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor M.S. Houston. She also sat under spiritual leadership at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Howard McLean, Jr.

Cheryl was a very smart and wonderful young lady, she matriculated through the Fort Worth Independent School District. She was a graduate of the Class of 83 of Dunbar Sr. High School.

Cheryl united in marriage with her soul mate Willie Jones. They were blessed to share twenty two years of life and celebrated many anniversaries, birthdays and holidays with their family.

Cheryl was employed as a bus driver for Arlington ISD for thirty four years.

Cheryl was such a kind hearted and loving person. Always reaching out to help wherever and whom ever she could.

She transitioned from this life into eternity with God on April 27, of 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ora Lee McLean, nephew, Curtis Goldsmith, Jr. niece, Veronica Spikes, grandparents, Sandy and Mary Brooks and Walter McLean and Annie Bell McLean.

Those left to celebrate her life and remember her love are; her devoted husband, Willie Jones, Jr.; daughter she raised Jasha High, step daughters, Rochelle Jones, and Nikola Durden; her dad, Reverend Howard McLean, Sr.; grandchildren, Peyton Smith, Preston Smith, Tia Coleman, Dominique Jones, Destinee Jones, Amber Jones, Darrion Jones, Bruce Staton, Jr.; brother, Reverend Howard McLean, Jr. (Sheila); sisters, Debbie Goldsmith (Curtis), Gaye McLean Goss, Annette McLean; nephews, Brandon Ford, Jaylon McLean; nieces, Chantrelle, Danyelle, Chassity, Crisshonda, Mia; great niece; Carlee and great nephews, Kaiden, Ashton and Aiden; brother-in-laws, Eddie Jones (Francine), Bennie Jones (Nora), Marvin Jones, Obie Jones (Sandra); sister-in-laws, Eartha Stocks (Willie) Vera Soloman (Lester) Evon Mitchell (Ray); special cousins, Mary Spikes, Pamela Standmire; special friends, Regina Green, Sassy Sterlings, Anna roland and a host of other relatives and friends.
