Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Charlie D Richardson, Sr. and Mary Richardson; sisters Charlene Richardson Ledford and Helen Richardson Cain, brother Clarence Richardson; and daughter Melinda Odom.
He is survived by his wife of almost 52 years Nadine Richardson; children Theresa Bankston and husband Kevin; Joyce Pritchett and husband Clay; and Charlie D Richardson III and wife Sarah. Charlie was blessed with ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Charlie began his career in the forging industry in 1963 at Trinity Forge as helper when he was 19 years old. He moved up in the ranks all the way to Vice President of Tooling. He worked there for 34 years.
Once he moved on from Trinity Forge, he went to Martin Sprocket and Gear working as the Die Shop and Machine Shop Supervisor. After ten years, he ended his long working career and retired in 2007.
Charlie enjoyed spending his time with Nadine, bowling, playing bingo, going to Las Vegas and tending to his vegetable garden. He always liked being outside on the weekends working on things. He loved spending time with his family, having all of them over during the holidays.
