Catherine "Cathy" J Hogue

Grand Prairie - Catherine “Cathy” June Hogue, 55, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 after a long illness. Funeral: 3 p.m. Monday, October 5th in the Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land.

Cathy was born May 15, 1960 in El Paso, Texas. She moved with her family to Odessa and then had a short stop in Maine; graduating from Gorham High School. She identified and was proud to be a native Texan, moving back in 1979, where she met her husband of 35 years, Randy. They married in 1980 and made their home in Grand Prairie.

Early in her career, she worked at Xerox Corporation. When her son was born, she became a stay-at-home mom.

Cathy had numerous health challenges and met each one with bravery, courage and a sense of humor. At all times, she stayed true to her faith.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, June Maxine and Donald Paul McKinney, Sr.; sister and brother, Michael and Dana.

Survivors: Husband, Charles Randolph Hogue; son, Derek Randolph Hogue of Grand Prairie; brother and sister-in-law, Donald Paul McKinney, Jr. and Stephanie; nephew and niece, Sam and Avery McKinney all of Spring, Texas; uncles and aunts, Ted and Patty Young in Marble Falls, Bill and Betty Young in Kingwood, Texas, Pat and Phil Chambers in Corning, CA.
