Known lovingly by her family and friends as a faithful servant for Christ, Beverly Brown (née Jones) is now singing her favorite hymns, experiencing her Savior’s “Amazing Grace” first-hand, and rejoicing in the glories of heaven. Born August 26, 1948, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Beverly passed away February 2, 2023, at the age of 74.
She is survived by her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Ray Jones and Irene Elizabeth Jones; precious niece and nephew, Melissa Irene Gandy and Jack Jordan Jones; and dear great nieces and great nephew, Lydia Grace Lantrip, Madeline Gandy, and Jack Thomas Lantrip.
Beverly was raised in Dallas, Texas, attending Thomas Jefferson High School and later Texas Woman’s University, where she earned her certification as a licensed vocational nurse. Tremendously dedicated to her patients, Beverly worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Ft. Worth and later as a private nurse in home health care. She loved writing poetry and singing, especially in the choir at St Francis Village Protestant Chapel. Active in women’s ministries she considered it a joy to boldly share her faith and bring others the compassion, comfort, and peace of Jesus. Beverly leaves behind an endearing legacy of hope and healing, and until we see her once again, she will remain forever cherished and deeply missed.
