Betty Jo Stuart

Betty was born on June 5, 1928, in Madill, OK. She was the sixth of seven children. Her family moved to Fort Worth when she was young and remained there her entire life. She was close to her siblings, they traveled together and gathered weekly for Monday lunch.

Betty was a beloved Mother and Grandmother. She was savvy and quick-witted with a fun sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Sunday dinners, watching football, and her Wednesday card-playing group of friends for many years. Everyone looked forward to her chocolate pie during the Holidays. She enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad.

Faith was essential in her life; she loved her church. She taught Sunday School at Ridglea West Baptist church for many years and delivered meals with Meals on Wheels for over 10 years.

Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband William (Bill) H. Stuart. They married on October 31, 1949, in the Leonard Chapel at First United Methodist Church.

Her son William Douglas (Doug) Stuart and siblings Gladys Marrs, Opal Estes, Ada James, J.E. Grimes, and Cecil Grimes.

She is survived by her son Dennis D. Stuart (Rhonica) and sister, Katherine Brunson, Daughters-in-law Terry Stuart and Karen Stuart, and grandchildren: Alison Samuels (Scott), Jennifer Paramore (Kevin), Kyle W. Stuart, and Aryn O. Stuart, and numerous Great-Grandchildren.
