Bert R Hughes, 88, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away April 24, 2020.
He was born in Munday, TX on September 16, 1931. Bert graduated from Handley High School and received an Associate Degree in Engineering from University of Texas at Arlington. He was married to Juanita M. Hughes on August 24, 1951 for 68 years. Bert had a career in Texas Electric Service Co. for 49 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church Arlington and had a passion for travelling, gardening, church, and Mission Arlington Ministries.
He was survived by his spouse Juanita Hughes; children Judy Hughes Jones (husband Bob Jones), Karen Hughes Cypull (husband Tom Cypull), Melissa Hughes Bradley (husband Harry Bradley), and son Robert Hughes; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, at 1:00 pm. Due to the current pandemic services are private.
