Andy was very energetic, ambitious and driven, all qualities that he tried to bring out in everyone he knew. It was very important for him to pave the way and be a positive role model for his siblings. There were no limits to the goals and dreams that Andy had and he wanted the same for his siblings. He repeatedly voiced that they could succeed at whatever they set their minds to. Aside from being a big brother, being an uncle brought him great pride and joy.
Andres was a very talented and bright young man who accomplished so much in the short time we had with him. From Elementary to High School, Andy was recognized and rewarded in all his extra curricular activities, including Band, Basketball, Track, Cross-Country, Theater and various UIL events. He was accepted and attended VMT Magnet School for Communications & Fine Art and went on to graduate in the top percentile of his class from J.W. Nixon High School in 2015.
Andy pursed his education at Tarleton State University in Stephenville,Tx. During his Bachelor's Degree journey, Andy did so much more than attend class, he was a mentor for the TTM’s (Tarleton Texans Mentors) and the SGA (Student Government Association) Programs at TSU, where he made an amazing impact on so many people and made lifelong friendships. He participated in several theatre productions and along with all his studies, he was an R.A. (Resident Advisor) for the University. During his summer break in 2016, Andy volunteered his time at Camp Fire, Camp El Tesoro as a Grief Counselor working with children, an event that turned into something he did every summer from that year on. In the summer of 2023, he was recognized and awarded for all his years and dedication to the camp. He received countless awards and recognitions during his time at TSU, as well as being in the Honors program and making the Dean’s List before receiving his BFA in June 2019. After graduating from TSU, Andy went on to Vet Tech school, became a Manager for Starbucks, and did many Freelance projects through out the DFW Metroplex before heading to Iowa State to pursue his Masters in Theater Arts. Andy made such an impact in so many lives, let us remember him in all his glory and continue to live our lives the way he would have.
Andres, my son, my 1st born, like you would always say, you made me a mom. We grew up together and you taught me so much, words cannot express how proud I am to be your Mom. Our hearts beat together at one time and the bond we had could not and will not ever be broken, although you are no longer walking this earth, I will hold on to all our memories and carry you in my heart forever. I love you more than word can say, rest among the angels Pa!
