The family will receive friends during visitation at Alliance Community Fellowship Church from 10am on Saturday, February 20, 2021. The Funeral Service will follow at 12pm. Aaron will be laid to rest at Criswell Cemetery at a later date.
Aaron was born in Dallas, Texas. After he graduated from Waxahachie High School,
he attended Navarro College, Texas Tech, and Baylor University. He studied music and was an accomplished singer and performer. People loved to hear him sing yet he was very humble about his talents. He kept in touch with school mates and had lifelong relationships with them.
Aaron began his career with Jason’s Deli in 2000 and recently celebrated his 20-year anniversary. Aaron held a number of positions throughout his career and most recently was the Managing Partner of the Grand Prairie and Cedar Hill locations. Throughout his time with Jason’s Deli, Aaron was a friend and mentor to countless members of the Deli Family. He had a larger-than-life personality and had the ability to be brutally honest in the best possible way.
Aaron didn’t sugar coat things and was 100% real and authentic. People trusted Aaron and felt safe around him because he was a true Servant Leader. He had the best sense of humor and a little sarcasm. In fact, the Jason’s Deli founder, Joe Tortorice, would even quote Aaron from time to time when Aaron said, “Joe it’s not all sunshine and lollipops.” He believed everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. He worked hard and did whatever it took to take care of his customers and employees.
Aaron married the love of his life, Jane, 18 years ago and they were the best of friends. Together, Aaron and Jane have 3 children: Cameron, Jacob, and Westen. Aaron put his family first, loved them fiercely and was their protector. He was so proud recently when Cameron signed a soccer scholarship and when he and Westen got their first buck on a hunting trip. Aaron was an active participant in his children’s school and sporting events, including coaching at various times and volunteering with the PTA. You could not have a conversation with Aaron without him talking about his wife and kids. He was so proud of them and lit up when he spoke of them. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending time with friends and family hunting, fishing and camping.
Aaron is preceded in death by son Jacob Watson, grandmother, Joyce Stone, and father, Johnny Watson.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Marsha and Frank World; wife, Jane; children, Cameron and Westen; siblings, Brandi Whorrall, Whitney Watson, Justin Hunter, and Kelli Chambers; nieces, Sloane, Peyton, and Bella, and his nephews, Ian, Greyson, Lucas, and Jaxon.
Aaron had such a huge impact on so many lives. He was the best guy in all aspects of his life and we celebrate him...his was a life well lived. Go fly high with the angels, Aaron.
