WANDA MARVINE (GRAVES) HAGEMAN, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012. Born Oct. 6, 1924, in Columbia City, she was a daughter by the late Harvey and Mary (Londt) Graves. She graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1942. She was a graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1947. She worked many years at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne, and retired from the State of Indiana TB Clinic after 17 years of service. She married Richard "Dick" Hageman on Feb.15, 1947; he preceded her in passing in 2007. Wanda and Dick raised their family in Waynedale and spent their summers at Adams Lake. They retired and lived in Port Charlotte, Fla. from 1994 to 2007. They were lifelong members of St. Therese Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Rick (Cheryl) Hageman of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Linda (Tim) Bell of Cumming, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Joyce Hageman of Columbia City; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jim, in 2010; and brother, Carl. "Our Heavenly Father blessed us with an earthly mother who truly lived a life of humility and compassion. Her generosity of spirit, time and love were given freely and unconditionally, benefiting all those who asked or were in need." Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation also from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
