Virginia F. “Ginny” Sauer, 61, of Fort Wayne passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014. She was born on July 21, 1952 in Miamisburg, Ohio to the late Lawrence “Fuzzy” and Marjorie (Thomas) Wise. She worked in accounts receivable at Safety-Wear. She was a member of Southwest Assembly of God and will be remembered for her strong faith and her very giving heart. Surviving family include her husband of 25 years, Dick Sauer; step-sons, Ben Sauer and Nick (Joni) Sauer; grandchildren, Carmen, Corrine, Cameron, Jayla, Trinity Sauer; siblings, Wendell (Barb) Wise, John (Nancy) Wise, and Weltha Smith. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her brother, Vance Wise. A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Southwest Assembly of God, 7702 Smith Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-5 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
