Vera Robinson, 85, passed away Tuesday May 22, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN. Born March 6, 1927 in Economy, IN, daughter of the late Thomas H. and Mary Williams. She also lived in Richmond and Muncie IN; and settled in Fort Wayne, where she was employed at Fort Wayne Developmental Center, Visiting Nurses’ Service, Matthew 25, and enjoyed working as a Foster Grandparent. A member of New Zion Tabernacle; devoted to family, extended family and friends; an avid bowler of the Fort Wayne Hi-Low Bowling League; loved traveling; a VFW Post 8147 Auxiliary member for over 30 years. She was faithful to those she loved.
Surviving are her son Thomas (Beatrice) Tevis of Fort Wayne; a host of grandchildren, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Paul Tevis and Jerry Robinson; grandson, Thomas Tevis Jr., five sisters including Desira M.”Boo” Kearns who passed June 23, 2011.
Funeral Service is 6:00pm, Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at New Zion Tabernacle, 1835 Spring Street, with visitation from 4:00-6:00pm at the church.
