Steven Carl Long, 71, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Gene R. and Margaret M. (Kreigh) Long on May 18, 1950.
Mr. Long worked for the Falstaff Brewing Corporation, and later retired from the Magnavox Company in Fort Wayne. Steven loved music, and played the trumpet in several area bands, including the Knights on the Town Jazz Ensemble and the Stardust Dance Band. Steven is survived by his brother Robert “Bob” (Marylee) Long, nieces Sarah (Damien) Long and Anna (Seth) Long-Humphrey, along with one great-niece and two great-nephews. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM at D.O. McComb and Son’s Funeral Home – Covington Knolls Chapel, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804. Calling will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery.
