Sondra J Hire, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Born on August 9, 1940, in New Haven, she was a daughter of the late Frank “Bud” and Maxine Clem. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, and retired in 2002, from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Jr, Randall (Deanna), and Russell (Maureen “Mo”); and grandsons, Josh (Allison), Ryan (Alicia), T.J., and Connor; great-grandson, Osker; siblings, Kathleen (Michael), John (Pam), and Debra; and her beloved dog Lucy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr; and her sister, Mary Ann.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am, Thursday, June15, 2023, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 West State Street, Fort Wayne, with calling from 9:30-10:30am, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the funeral home.
