Deacon Ronnie Lee Bright-Savage was born July 20, 1954, to the late Addie (Lillard) Bright and the late Willie C. Bright Sr. He would later be raised by his adopted mother and father Willie B. (Hogan) Savage and Mark H. Savage.
At 70 years of age, Ronnie answered the Masters call and passed away peacefully on Friday March 21, 2025, at Lutheran Life Village. Ronnie confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized.
He met his wife Delois in 1971 at Northside High School where they became high school sweethearts and later married in 1995.
Before he became disabled, he was employed at Wayne Combustion. Ronnie enjoyed attending Heaven 2 Earth Baptist Church with his step-mother, Curtissean E. Bright. He would later become a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Maurice Culver.
Ronnie enjoyed attending church and being the welcoming smile at Jerusalem Baptist Church that greeted members and visitors as they entered the church every Sunday. He had a zest for life and through his walk with Christ his soul became humbled. He had a passion for communicating and through that passion he touched and changed many lives. Before his illness, Ronnie was studying to be a Deacon at Jerusalem Baptist Church. During his homegoing celebration, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, Pastor Maurice E. Culver Sr. presented his wife, Delois with Ronnie's Deacon Certificate of Ordination.
