Nécrologie de Robert Harold Tesch
Robert “Bob” Harold Tesch, 82, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 21, 2022, with his daughter and son-in-law by his side. Bob was born on March 12, 1940, in Honeoye Falls, NY. He was a son of the late Charles Arthur and Mary Elizabeth (Steffen) Tesch. As a draftsman Bob worked on many government contracts but his greatest accomplishment was the work, he did with the designing of the printed circuit board for the control panel on the Apollo 11. Bob enjoyed tinkering and restoring corvettes. His 1957 corvette was restored to pristine condition after many drag races and NHRA records in Avilla, IN. He also loved to read especially anything to do with history or religion. Bob could discuss and debate both topics with the best. He loved a good debate! Bob enjoyed watching the Colts, the Notre Dame football team, and the Indianapolis 500. He loved the outdoors. He liked to fish but he loved to hunt especially deer hunting. He talked about getting better so that he could go deer hunting again this fall with his friend Tim Papenbrock. Bob’s kind soul, beautiful smile, and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother John “Jack” Tesch and his stepmother Ruth Tesch. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Charlene and Mark Shaffer, his son Eric (Camille) Tesch, his grandchildren Quinn, Logan, and Cooper Tesch, his brother Harry (Virginia) Tesch, his sister-in-law Loretta Tesch, his very special friend Norma Gasper, and several nephews. A celebration of life for Bob will be held Friday, October 21, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Advantage Funeral Home – Highland Park, 2304 E. Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne, IN. Please join the family immediately following the service for a reception to share stories and memories of Bob. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations in his honor to Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.advantagemungovan.com for the Tesch family.
