Richard W. Friend, 100 year old was a WWII veteran, passed away on August 20th in Fort Wayne, IN. He retired after a long career in the paper industry. He was proceeded in death by his wife of almost 60 years Joan Hueber. He is survived by his 6 children Pamela Bradford (James deceased) of Villa Park Illinois, Nannette Hornberger (Charles deceased) of Miami Florida, Diane Strawn (Andrew) of Bloomington Indiana, Douglas Friend (Susan) of Troutman N Carolina, Gregory Friend (John Kerr) of New Port Richey Florida, Janneen DeCamp (Thomas) of Fort Wayne Indiana and he is a Grandfather of 16, and Great Grandfather of 24. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, neighbor and FRIEND.
