Rex Dean Michel

Rex Dean Michel, 83, passed away May 26, 2024 at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born November 6, 1940 in South Whitley, IN, the son of Gerald and Alma Michel. He earned a Bachelor Degree. He was an Investment Broker with IDS / American Express (Investors Diversified Services) for many years as a top producer Rex was an avid sport fan and enjoyed IU Basketball, Komets Hockey, college football and enjoyed reading and keeping up on the news and world events. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Leticia Michel, of Fort Wayne, IN; son Tommy (Lisa) Fitzwater of Ohio, Nancy (Charlie Bradford) Maloney of Fort Wayne, IN; Mercy (Ron) Barnhill of Greenville, SC; and many grand and great grandchildren. Rex is also survived by his kitties, Lito and Lina. Memorial service will be 4pm Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 E. Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior. Private burial at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors or Fort Wayne Humane.
