Raymond Eugene Martin

Ray was born on April 8, 1946 in Gary, IN. He graduated from Northside High School. He attended Ball State University before entering the US Navy in 1965 to 71. He served in Vietnam as a medic. He was very proud to serve our country. He was honorably discharged and moved to California. Ray worked for Northrop Corporation over 30yrs. until his first retirement. He decided to become a realtor while in Hermosa Beach, then later in Palm Desert until he returned to Ft. Wayne in 2021, after losing his life partner, Jerry Marshall. They were together for over 48 years. Ray is survived by his brother Charles (Georgia) Martin, Cousin Charlene Eddingfield, nephews; Kirk (Paula) Chevillot, Keith (Brandi) Martin and nieces; Kim (Vince) Noga and Nicole (Rashell) Chevillot along with several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Bruce G. & Lora (Eddingfield) Martin, Jerry Marshall (Life Partner), sister Virginia M. Chevillot, sister–in-Law Sharon (Walter) Martin, cousin John Eddingfield and numerous other cousins. A private service will be held at a later date for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Tunnels to Towers or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Highland Park.
